Welcome to the Joint Admission Medical Program

What is JAMP ?

JAMP is a program created by Senate Bill 940 of the 77th Texas Legislature. It provides services to support and encourage academically highly qualified economically disadvantaged students pursuing a medical education. It provides admission of those students who satisfy both academic and non-academic requirements to at least one participating medical school. It is a unique partnership formed between Texas students, undergraduate institutions and medical schools in Texas.

JAMP Applicants:

  1. If you are interested in being a JAMP applicant, please register for a minimum of 15 hrs in the Fall semester
  2. You must have filled a FAFSA (Pell grant) application with TTU
  3. You must get an SAT and ACT score not less than the mean for the state of Texas, with no section on either the SAT or ACT below the mean attained in the state

JAMP Benefits:

Students accepted to the JAMP program receive $1000 scholarship per semester beginning in the student's sophomore year of college and $2000 stipend to attend summer internships following the student's freshman, sophomore, and junior years of college at one of the participating medical schools. Not only financial benefits, they will be given admission to medical school in Texas to continue their studies if all the program requirements are met.
